Last may 19, 2006. 65 paulinian volunteers sail thier way to culion palawan. bringing with them
a mission to serve and help the poor and the needy. The volunteers where divided into teams, each team was also given
a community to handle. The community handled by these teams were marili, biong, and boloc-bolocan they are located
in 3 different islands in palawan. in order to get to that island each team needs to ride a boat to get to each island. Every
afternoon after our visit in those islands is sort of a reporting session. Where each team tells the other volunteers
their experiences, learnings, insights, and most of all what they did in the community. Some experiences were good some
were bad but above all these the teams survived each problem they have undertaken. The volunteers also
sponsored a youth camp in culion palawan. With the theme: "isulong kabataan ibahagi ang pag-ibig ni kristo sa tana". it started
around 5pm and ended around 6am the next day. the volunteers had really a great time being with the teens in culion at the
same time got new friends. After the camp the volunteers were given one whole day to rest. And at the same time plan for the
tree planting that were going to have. The volunteers left also a legacy in culion when they engaged in the coffee planting for
those poor people that who wants to go to school and learn and become the future leaders of our country. On May
28, 2006 was the time for the volunteers to go home. They left culion on exactly 7:30 am. boarding a boat to coron palawan.
May 29, 2006 was the saddest part when each one of us needs to seperate ways already. Each of the volunteers exchange
hugs and kisses, some even cried, and some were very uneasy leaving each other since each of the volunteers were already close
with each other. But through this website we can reunite back our group, freinds, and companions who first boarded the superferry
1 on May 19. I hope that each one of us will never forget our experiences in culion palawan.
